FORMULATION:
Each vial contains:
Ceftriaxone (as Sodium) . . . . . . . 1 g
INDICATIONS:
Urinary Tract Infections (complicated and uncomplicated) caused by Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, Morganella morganii or klebsiella pneumoniae.
CAUTION:
Foods, Drugs, Devices & Cosmetics Act prohibits dispensing without prescription

DOSAGE:
Adults: the usual adult daily dose is 1 to 2 g given once a day (or in equally divided doses twice a day) depending on the type and severity of infection. The total daily dose should not exceed 4 g. Uncomplicated gonococcal infections: A single intramuscular dose of 250 mg is recommended. Preoperative use (surgical prophylaxis): A single dose of 1 g administered intravenously 1/ to 2 hours before surgery is recommended.
STORAGE:
Packed in airtight container and stored in cool dry place at temperature not exceeding 30° C, protected from light. Discard solution after use.
